TOMMARKHENRY has raised the stakes in terms of premium offerings in arguably the most competitive market for interior design services.

The Massage Collective called upon the service of TOMMARKHENRY to make its establishment stand out amongst an array of competitors across Sydney’s East.

The female design trio has identified a gap in the market; recognising client’s need for full service involvement of all senior partners from start to finish with a personalized tailored service.

They certainly made Sydney Social 101 stand up and pay attention when it comes to the businesses they’ve been working with.

Together they have successfully harmonized creatively in business to receive highly respected design award nominations, grow the business with a team of designers and develop a design portfolio of some of Sydney’s latest hot spots.

TomMarkHenry was founded by Jade Nottage, Cushla McFadden and Chloe Matters .

With Chloe’s background in design and property development and Cushla and Jade’s rounded skill set in Interior Architecture, this combination of experiences and skills sees the three able to offer a complete design and development service to clients.

We caught up with the girls to chat about their influences and what to expect from The Massage Collective:

What was the inspiration for the space?

The inspiration was initially driven by the client’s vision to create a space that caters for an urban lifestyle, a store that was up to current trends that met a gap in the market for a mid range beauty offering. With a design that wouldn’t date that could be applied to multiple stores.

We decided that using tones and textures and a minimal pallet was the best way to meet this brief. This inspired our choice in material and finishes pallet.

What is your favourite feature?

One of our favorite features that we felt brought the whole site together was the white linen curtains on the rooms, this added so much softness not only in the room but also in the main corridor of the space.

Who’s your inspiration?

Our work is influenced by being emotionally connected to our spaces by observing details, places, moments and people within that space. We draw inspiration from many sources including; friends, family, culture, art, fashion or even a walk down the block. Wherever it comes from, it takes us to where we need to go and places we didn’t even know we needed to go.

What can people expect?

Not your average massage offering. This site correlates directly to its offering its modern, current and urban it meets the requirements and style of the inner city punter who is interested in going to a place they are inspired by and feel comfortable in.
