It is one of the most anticipated nights of the year in every fashionistas calendar, a celebration of shopping and fashion hosted by Vogue Magazine.
Sydneys CBD was taken over with exclusive events, offers, catwalk shows and beauty workshops. But the hottest ticket of the night was on Level 7 of David Jones at The Social Party.
When I thought my love for David Jones (my favourite department store in Australia) could not be any stronger I was proven wrong with my introduction to Level 7. An incredible space with high ceilings, floor to roof windows with stunning views of Hyde Park. When I was told the space was used for Christian Dior’s first Couture show in Australia in the 1960s I was in heaven.
The official partners of Vogue Fashion Night Out were Ultimat Vodka and Patrón Tequila who served a choice of two cocktails at the Pelicano Bar, Ultimat Vodka Pelicano Martini’ (a sweet passionfruit cocktail with vodka, pomegranate syrup and fresh mint – my personal favourite) and a ‘Patron Tequila Lemon Granita’ (a refreshing frozen cocktail served in a Patron jam jar)
As guests sipped on mouth wateringly good cocktails djs mixed tunes including a set from the stunning Robyn Lawley. The super stylish were out in force and celebrities including Megan Gale, Camilla Franks and Sophie Falkiner were all spotted mingling in the crowd.
The Social Party was another statement of style from Sydney’s most glamorous. A fashion obsessed girl’s dream party. Roll on next year.
Susan Black attended and reported on the event for Sydney Social 101.
