Byron Spencer vs. The World at Lane 4
Cultural and lifestyle retail destination The Galeries narrows its gaze on the modern affinity for street style fashion that consumers the world over have embraced for its upcoming installation.

Fashion photographer, blogger and street style contributor to the Sunday Telegraph, Bryon Spencer presents Expressways at Sydney public art space, Lane 4.

Adding a provocative and often humorous edge to his work, Spencer employs an array of urban dwellers as his collaborators in this latest exhibition. The resulting imagery constructs an insight into how the city ticks through an inimitable narrative of individual, infamous faces.

All eight urbanites represent a new guard of talent with diverse influences in fashion and culture. Of- the-moment models Fernanda and Rachel Rutt, Designers Gary Bigeni, Emma Mulholland and No Di$count, My Emperical Life blogger Tanja G, super stylist Meg Gray and artist MC Gaff E each embody the diverse make-up of customers that shop and live at The Galeries.

Surpassing mere ‘point and shoot’ street style photography, the genre is taken to an artistic level through the morphing of vibrant bursts of colour and psychedelic post production manipulations.

Urban, irreplaceable and from all walks of life, The Galeries and Lane 4 serve up a slice of style, art with just a hint of attitude this January.
