Here at Sydney Social 101 you may have noticed that we have a soft spot for travel and fashion. We’ve been really lucky to be able to attend MBFWA as a domestic media delegate, attend new fashion launches and to see much of what this amazing country has to offer in terms of amazing travel destinations. With this in mind we are really interested to hear that Booking.com has seen more and more designers expanding their portfolios and engaging in the hospitality space, with famous runway designers, including Donatella Versace, Moschino, and Oscar de la Renta are showing off their stride in hotels around the world. (Fashion + Travel = Happy S101!)
booking.com (Australia’s favourite online booking accommodation website) has scoured its database for over 500,000 hotels around the world and found four properties designed by four of the leading fashion houses in the world – let me tell you, they’re not too shabby, not too shabby at all!

Australia’s very own Palazzo Versace
Location: Gold Coast, Australia
Starting rate per night: $385 (Superior King Room/Twin Room)
Donatella Versace’s Palazzo Versace is nestled between the beautiful Pacific Ocean and Gold
Coast Broadwater, and offers spectacular architecture and custom furnishings. This fashion brand hotel has an Aurora Spa Retreat, a 24-hour fitness and well-being center, a private marina, a Versace Boutique and event facilities. Armani Hotel Milan

Oscar de la Renta’s Tortuga Bay Punta Cana featured a private beach area in Punta Cana.
The luxury and exclusive resort is half a mile from the beach and features minimalist style in each of the hotel’s AAA Five Diamond Award winning rooms. In addition, the hotel provides guests with a rave-worthy dining experience, at the Bamboo restaurant, which also highlights the designer’s décor.
